In order to celebrate annual “International Museum Day” on 18th of May which is set up by the International Council of Museums (ICOM), Tung Sin Tong Historical Archive Exhibition Hall will participate in the activities of “Macao International Museum Day Carnival, 2017” and launch a series of celebration activities in May. We are looking forward to your participation in the above series of activities.

First of all, the “Macao International Museum Day Carnival, 2017”, jointly held by the museums in Macao, will be inaugurated at Red Market on 3rd of May (Wednesday). In response to the theme “The Mobile Museum--Red Market • Drunken Dragon Festival” of Macao International Museum Day in this year, the Exhibition Hall will organize “Tung Sin Tong Perler Beads Workshop” during 10:30-17:00 on that day. Through the instruction in the workshop, the participants can enjoyably create perler beads handcrafts which integrate with the pattern of Tung Sin Tong’s longevity tile and the colour theme of Drunken Dragon.

Beside of the celebration activities taken place at the carnival, the Exhibition Hall will host other 2 activities named “Open Day of the Historical Relic Gallery” and “Tung Sin Tong Pressed Flowers Coaster Workshop” in May. On 18th of May (Thursday), the Exhibition Hall will divide the visiting hours of the Historical Relic Gallery into 4 sections: 10:30-11:00, 11:30-12:00, 15:30-16:00 and 16:30-17:00. Moreover, for the preservation of the 93-year-old historic architecture, the number of visitors would be limited. The Exhibition Hall will also provide docent service through which visitors can view and admire the precious large-scale cultural relics and historic archives. Furthermore, during “Tung Sin Tong Pressed Flowers Coaster Workshop” held at 15:00 on 21st of May (Sunday), the participants will be taught to make handmade coasters using pressed flowers and materials with unique Tung Sin Tong’s characteristics.

The above activities are free of charge. Registration is served on a first come, first served basis. Please feel free to enquire and sign up at the Exhibition Hall reception (address: Rua de Camilo Pessanha No. 55, Macau) or by calling 2838 9773 during office hours.
